   2008 Fair Rules
   1.    To be eligible to show and sell a steer you must be a member of good standing, by January 1, 2008, of  FFA or 4-H in Camden,            Pulaski, Laclede or adjoining counties.
   2.    Steer exhibitors must be a minimum of 8 years by January 1, 2008.  Exhibitors can show  up to the summer following
         their senior year of high school.
   3.    Each exhibitor must weigh in, show, and sale their own animal.
   4.    Steers must weigh a minimum of 1,000 pounds in order to sale.  Any steer weighing over 1,350 pounds will receive floor price for                 any weight above 1,350 lbs.  Any steer not meeting the 1,000 minimum, will be allowed to show, but excluded from the sale.             Animals ineligible for sale can be sold at floor price at buyers and owners discretion.
   5,    All steers will be broken into classes by weight.
   6.    Only one animal of each market species may be entered for show and sale.  Each exhibitor is limited to the show and sale of any             two of the three market animal species (hog, lamb, steer).
I   7.     If exhibitor cannot control and show their animal, then that animal will be tied or penned and placed last in its class.  Livestock                    chairman or designated ringman will make that decision.
   8.     No steer with a broken mouth may be shown, meaning a full set of baby teeth is required.  This will be checked at the fair weigh in.
   9.     Steers must be dehorned to be eligible to show.  Scurs are allowed.
  10.     At weigh in, first weight is official, no reweighs.
  11.     Exhibitors need to be present in the livestock barn at least two hours before show and sale.
  12     Any animal that has been sold at a previous show is ineligible for the show and  sale.
  13.    Nose rings and/or leads are prohibited on fair grounds.
  14.   We reserve the right to do chemical drug testing on any animal entered in our fair.  If chemicals are found, ALL of your animals will              be disqualified from the fair.
  15.   Health papers and regulatory papers will be presented to the Tri County Fair Veterinarian, Dr. Art Bryant. 
  16.   All 4-H members are required to be 4-H certified.
  17.   Each exhibitor will be charged a $ 10 entry fee per head at the first weigh in.  Fees are nonrefundable.
18.    Livestock committees reserve the right to amend any of these rules or entries.
19.   Each exhibitor must follow all Tri county Fair rules and city of Richland and Missouri state laws while participating in the Tri County             Fair.
